One of my toughest challenges running boot camps is coming up with new workouts to make things fresh and fun for my clients.

Over the years I’ve kept a swipe file of hundreds of workouts so I thought I’d start sharing some with you for your camps.

boot camp workoutWorkout: Partner Match up

Partner with someone of equal fitness.

Set up 2 Stations:

1. Kettlebell Swings

2. Push ups

60 Seconds work at each station, remember your total reps and compare with your partner.

Who won?

Round 2
Create a scaled rematch by starting your rep count in the second competition with the number of reps you were beat by.

Example: If you were beat by 21, than your first rep is 22.

Who wins/improves the most?

Create 2 new stations:

1. Dumbbell Thrusters

2. Sit ups

Repeat the same competition and set up the same scaled rematch

1. Depending on amount of equipment, you can break the camp in half.  Half do the Kettlebell swing/Push up circuit and the other half do the Dumbbell Thrusters/Sit ups circuit.  This method requires Dumbbells and Kettlebells for only 25% of the camp.

2. Substitution for exercises is easily made.  Make sure that full range of motion and proper form is used by everyone.
