I made a dumb mistake and broke my golden rule…
Which is to… ‘keep things simple’.
My new website crashed burdened with too many plugins, flash files and large images.
Luckily for me I’m not buying paid traffic… yet.
If you listen to any web designer they will tell you the purpose of your site is to ‘build your brand’, ‘demonstrate expertise’, and to ‘impress people’.
They are wrong!
The purpose of your website is to;
- Make a sale.
- Build your list (and make a sale later via email)
All the bells and whistles just get in the way of you making a sale.
I’ve been working with web designers for a very long time and I can confidently say 99% of them don’t know jack sh#t about traffic and conversions.
They know how to make your site look pretty, but pretty doesn’t sell.
Don’t believe me?
Head on over to Google and take a look at the #1 website on the internet.
What do you see?
A search box with their logo on top… nothing pretty there.
And, one of the biggest news sites on the internet the Drudge Report? Just a page of links. This site hasn’t changed in over 20 years.
In the fitness industry, everyone BLINDLY copies everyone else.
This is called ‘marketing incest’, where everyone copies each other and the marketing get’s dumber and dumber and dumber.
You don’t need to be the Worlds best conversion expert, just better than your competitors (which isn’t difficult). In the land of blind…the one eyed man is king.
Know the purpose of your site, keep it simple and watch your sales grow.
If you would like be the one eyed king in your niche, stop blindly copying everyone else and head on over to https://www.ptsupremacy.com/platinum and find out how to finally create a website that sells.
