Today I want to talk about what SEO is, so you understand the basics and why you should be doing SEO in your personal training business.
What is personal trainer SEO?
Basically SEO is positively influencing the search results in your favor.
For example if you come over to Google, when we’re doing SEO, really what we are focusing on are the organic search results here and the places results here.
These ones at the top, these are Adwords, generally dollar for dollar you get much better return on your investment with Google maps and the organic search results.
Google Adwords can work but they can get quite expensive. I always like to go and try and get these spots first, then once I got those locked in I worry about Adwords later. But as I have said over the years, I have always found that I have gotten the best return on investment by focusing on the maps and on the organic listing.
So, that is what we are going to be focusing on throughout this course, basically that’s what SEO is, it’s really just about giving Google what it wants.
Google is a computer. It’s got a mathematical formula for ranking websites what it think is the most relevant for a specific keyword.
