Self-help great Earl Nightingale famously said…
“Look at what the majority of people are doing, and do the exact opposite, and you’ll probably never go wrong for as long as you live”.
This couldn’t be truer for the majority of online personal trainers.
Here’s what 99% of online trainers do…
They create a program, for example; a 12-week body challenge.
Then they fill a need, for example; weight loss.
They look for a market to sell it to in an already oversaturated fitness industry.
Their message get’s lost in the thick fog of fitness programs that never see the light of day.
Their formula for online success is;
Product – > Need -> Market.
This is backwaaaaards my friend…. and why 99% of trainers never make money online.
Here’s the formula the smart online trainers use… the 1% of trainers that kill it online;
Market – > Need -> Product.
- They find a market, for example post natal fitness.
- They find their markets need… to get their hips, tummy and thighs back in shape.
- Then, they fill that need with a solution… a fitness and nutrition program specifically catering for new mums with these goals.
They find a new market, for example busy fathers over 40.
They find that markets need… to lose belly fat.
Then, they fill that need with a solution… fast effective fat burning workouts for men over 40 they can do at home.
Then they find another market, they rinse, they repeat and they scale.
This is the way to make an absolute killing online.
Sounds too easy ye?
It is… but only when you know how to market these programs effectively.
Because, you can create all the programs in the World… but if your ideal customer don’t know they exist it’s not gonna do you much good!
Fortunately… Social Media makes it so god darrn easy for us.
And in module 4, topic 3 of the new ‘Social Media Course For Personal Trainers’ I break it all down for you… step-by-step.
