When I got started personal training back in 2003 things were tough, money was tight and bills needed paying.
I was down to my last $3… I was getting desperate.
I had a consultation with a new prospect and badly needed the sale.
My prospect knew it.
I made the sale but he drove me down on price from $600AUD to $500AUD.
He could feel my neediness.
When you’re needy, people can sense it, they can read it in your body language, hear it in your voice and feel it in your energy.
So… how do you overcome neediness?
Know that you need them LESS than they need you.
Know that your time is valuable and that there is a limited amount of you and an unlimited amount of them (clients).
Know that your service will change their health and their life for the better.
Know that your clients are getting the better deal, that they get to live a longer healthier life in exchange for a few sheets of paper (money).
Know that opportunities are everywhere and that you live with an abundant mindset.
And finally… know that you are fully prepared to walk away if you don’t get fairly compensated for what you’re truly worth.
Neediness will repel people away from you.
Confidence will attract people to you.
Have confidence in yourself, your ability, your service, what you have to offer and people will be magnetically drawn to you.
